Maybe they're fleeing the consumers in Bob Cratchit's neighborhood, but, in any event, the Hackensack geese have been very active this Christmas. I saw one good-sized squadron heading down the river, but it was too late to capture it on my cellphone vidcam.
A few minutes later, I heard another group (or the same group minus a few members) honking their way upriver and video'd that.

Later, I saw/heard a huge gaggle of them much further east of the river heading south, but they were too far away to be zoomed in on with a cellphone. At lunchtime, from my west-facing kitchen, I saw another bunch flying south over the Park St Area. Maybe they were all the same group.........who knows - they all look the same to me.
The Hackensack Cratchits will have to settle for ground-bound turkey or ham for their Christmas dinner tonight.
