Isn't this the same contractors who built the Avalon in Hackensack on Hackensack Avenue?  I hope they used better material.  If not, God forbid something similar might happen in Hackensack!

Not only should Hackensack be shamed, other local municipalities using the same tactics should share that shame.   Its a ticketing scam.

My comment about Democrats in this city should not be considered as an endorsement for Republicans.  I am a registered Democrat but wish that Hackensack's elections were more democratic and in the interest of all citizens and not at the whim of one.

Thank you.  I was concerned that my statement was included as the topic starter for meeting decorum. At least now I have an explanation as to why.

It's probably a fight between the owners and the insurance company wherein the insurance company.  Often insurance companies wants to pay as little as it can despite the fact that it will cost so much more to repair it.

Please disregard my previous question.  I found out that the liaison is Councilwoman Greenman.

Hackensack Discussion / Re: Municipal Prosecutor

Busrider, I did not originally see the picture and thus my response.  I erroneously saw it as a rhetorical question asking me if I was the present prosecutor.  In any event, I again note from whence the strongest opposition comes. I also believe if the current prosecutor is found guilty, he should be fired.

I am neither the present nor the former prosecutor.  As I said, he has not been determined if he is guilty.  If so, he needs to be removed. Are you the former prosecutor? If so, do you have any other clients?

It appears to be an issue with ethics with the city prosecutor.  No outcome as to guilt has been determined at this time.  However, it is interesting to note that the strongest opposition to the prosecutor is the former prosecutor who lost his job and income from 2 of his 3 city jobs.  The question is, does he have any other clients?

Privatizing the DPW will not get rid of the expensive pension payouts and benefits.  For the most part, those who work there are not paid very well. I recall when this suggestion came up years ago. There was a large scale push back from the African American citizens.  The majority of African American employment opportunities in Hackensack are through the DPW.  If you look at the majority of city offices and departments, that still rings true today.
