Hardly a blizzard here, but that's a good thing.

1. During

2. Just in time for Valentine's Day - a heart-shaped donut

3. Above a tree

4. Under snow and overshadowed

5. Lost the handle

6. A mountain of shoveling

7. Snapped treetop

Oops!

It's probably not a good idea to start removing piles of snow on a Sunday just before the services begin for the Korean congregation at the First Presbyterian Church.

As soon as the plow dumped that load, all plows and trucks - including the large receptacle ones waiting on the street - took off for the next lot.

The DPW came back in full force a couple of hours later and worked until after dark to finish the job.

In one of the pictures below, you can see a total of 7 plows/trucks in the vicinity. I've never seen so many of their vehicles here before. They moved 3 white mountains in 3 hours AND totally cleared the bordering streets.

Apparently, a recent offspring of 2 of the plows was left behind (last picture) and the little guy was seen today gobbling up snow crumbs in the private lot that adjoins the municipal lot on the northeast corner of the block.
