The seller's scans make them look more bronze-ish.

Only one medal has the year on it, but the other is very similar.

I should get out of the house more, but then I'd miss all these shots:

1. Heat wave 7/21/11

2. Roof bird

3. Coupling clouds

4. "Objects may appear smaller..."

5. Too much road salt?

6. Carrot Top

7. Clouds in vane

8. Kids NOT playing video games!

9. Pretty green eyes behind bars

10. Sundog

Prettying-up the previous patch-job, I guess.

Finish the street, already.

But the pitcher is up, he's hitting .046, and it's the deadball era.  ;)

This is a rarity and a real bargain (50 cents at the moment) - the Asbury Methodist Episcopal Church (read info below pix) and an early First Baptist Church on the same card.

Does anyone know if the location of the First Baptist Church is the same as today's FBC?

Hackensack Discussion / The Foschini/Fishini Tournament...

...was apparently held at the northern tip of Foschini Park yesterday. It went on from early morning to sunset.

For the anglers' sake, I hope they threw everything back.

Workers complete the finishing touches on the tower's color accents - not bad.

Yesterday, they closed the street to pave over some of the paved-over middle area of the intersection.

Locally, the 4th of July officially ended last night with Maywood's twice-postponed show...........or maybe they were the preliminary ones for next year.

They were pretty good, from the opening barrage at dusk to the explosive and smoky finale.

I don't know why, but I think I got better shots from a mile or two away than I did from Hackensack's.
