Seller's description:

CHARLES BATTELL LOOMIS, author. Flyleaf inscribed and signed entirely in his hand, Hackensack New Jersey, 11 December [19]06. Reading: “To 'Dooley' who has made me laugh so many many times and will many times again from [signed] Charles Battell Loomis”. Measures approximately 7 1/2” x 4 1/2”. Toned, unevenly trimmed, otherwise in very good condition. Authenticity guaranteed.....Charles Battell Loomis (1861-1911) was an American author whose works include: Yankee Enchantments (1900), Cheerful Americans (1903), I've Been Thinking (1905), Cheer Up (1906), A Bath in an English Tub (1907), The Knack of It (1908) and Just Irish (1909).
