Beloved eldest son of Dr. and Mrs. Winton H. Johnson.
Wint was a graduate of Hackensack High School Class of 1965, and attended Hope College, Holland, Michigan. Services were held at Christ Episcopal Church, State Street, on Wednesday September 7, 1966. Interment was at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, N.J.

I remember him well & can't think of anyone who didn't like him...I also, was a 1965 Grad & was shocked by his passing as were many others.

Thanks so much for replying, Skip. I would love to read about all the high school memories of him. I know he was an Eagle Scout, and involved in the high school wrestling team. He told me that he did not want to be a doctor. He was thinking about being a pharmacist or a researcher. He was a free spirit, searching for purpose in life. Vietnam was looming in the background and this was in the back of anyone's mind who was 18, approaching 19, at that time. Back in 1966, my experience was such that it seemed that the accepted thing to do was to not talk about things like this, just "move on." The idea of "closure" I don't think existed at that time. I just wanted to say that it was so sad that he never got to live his life. We all were lucky to have had the short time that we did have together.
