Hackensack Discussion / Jerry's BBQ - 836 Main St.
« on: July 07, 2010, 01:13:19 PM »
I have a new neighbor... Jerry's BBQ at 838 Main St. It's where Manley's Deli, Al's Deli, Wrap & Roll Deli and El Toreon was.  I tried the " All the way Dog " is Onions, Mustard and special sauce. It was good and I enjoyed the sauce. There was a Guy there who enjoyed the Skirt Steak & asked what the Marinade was.

No Mike or any of the old staff. The building owner reopened... He had " House of Pizza " in the early 1980's.

Also, next door where the Mexican Restaurant was, will be a  Grill & BBQ place... in a week to 10 days.

Online Auctions/Local Images (Moderated by BLeafe) / Re: Hackensack t-shirt

For some reason the link to the Seller's description won't come up for me, so I don't know what he said.  But it look like a Cross-Country shirt from the mid 1960's. I pulled out my Yearbook to check.  8)

It sure looks like the Laundromat north of Route 4 across from the River Edge Fire Dept. It appears to sit on the property the same as the building in the picture.

north towards Route 4 today.  ???

I believe it was called Fairmount Hardware. It was owned by a Woman named Zita ( spelling ). She was a sister to the guy who owned Fairmount Lumber and she was never married... I'm told.

Just watching,

Although I've enjoyed and or disagreed with some of your posts in the past... It appears that you're attempting to turn this site into another NJO.com.  That's disappointing !

I passed by there yesterday and there is a sign stating that there will be an Auction for a " Complete Liquidation " on Thurday, April 16 2009.

Not sure if the property is to be sold as well.

Leafe
You didn't get a picture of me in that posted collection... but my picture is on the cover of the " Your Town Directory ".

I'm told the man who lead the march was a Mr. Canistrino (SP)

Some people know as Gene and some as " Skip " which ever you prefer is fine with me.

I took the stroll this morning in support. In picture # 5, far right is her Husband John.

There, I believe there was only one person of the Homeless Challanged... the rest I was familiar with in some way.

If you were there " Leafe" I would have liked to said hello... I like your Photo work and your positive posts.

I was the Guy w/ the shades & the two tall Men.
