Hackensack Discussion / Re: Teterboro Airport

There is at least one runway at Teterboro that can handle a landing of a lightly loaded 747.  an A320 would be no problem.  the 747 would only be able to take off empty though.

its just too bad that the person who wrote that piece didnt bother to check and see if the information was still current or not. anyone can just copy out of a book, but you would expect someone whose job it is to get the facts straight to do so.   see if you can find the outdated information in the list.

the BC childrens home is in the same location today, 125 Essex St.  Rocciola's is the funeral home, at 119 Essex. it was torn down 5 years ago to build a mid rise

the Sherbrooke was built in 1971. 307 Prospect was built in 1975-76. My uncle was one of the first people to move in there. the Bristol house was built in 68-69.

the map is wrong in regards to at least 1 property.  20 Prospect Ave paid over 2.6 million in tax last year.  the map shows it as exempt.

I believe that picture is taken from just south of Banta Place looking North. it appears as though the Alpha building is in the pic and the steeple of the church at State and Berry is there too. somewhere I have a pic of the post office property before the PO was built.
