Before it moved to S. State St, it was on Main St across from the court house. Around the corner a few doors up on Essex St was the best car wash around, but I don't remember its name.
Anybody know it (or even remember it)?

What memories that sign or sticker brings. I grew up right around the corner from Coast Automotive on S. State Street. All the guys that worked there were so nice to us. Man or man did we bother them for stickers and they would give them to us without complaining. We used to decorate our bikes with them. :)

If you want to own this one, it's currently on eBay for another 4.5 days and it's got no bids. Just enter item number: 280228965790
The seller claims it's from 1965, so that would place it at the Main St store.

The carwash was on the north side of Essex Street between Main Street and State Street. It was owned by a gentleman named Joe Sanzari who ran the operation with son, Arnold. As I remember, the City took the property to clear the block where Court Plaza is now located. Some old timers remembered a bowling alley in the building also.
