In the 60's & 70's it was Helen's Hut.serving the best cheese steaks.. Pat' s & Geno's  of Philly have nothing over ...Helen ' s Hut.

But later on in 80's at the top of the rt  46  hill in lodi across  from Hank's Franks in the modern propane mini mall there was a place called Philly Willy's ... oh man he had topped H.H.....that was the best cheese steaks ever.. but it was a bad location. ..he lasted  2 years or so

After  it was Helen' s Hut that location was Taste of Italia another good  place for a good meal....the owner took I'll and his wife ran it into the ground. ... then Daddy's. ... and about 7 fly by night places since...

This years lights on the trees at the Court House Green are the worst ever....

Whoever over see's and is responsible should be ashamed,  It seems there was no rhyme or reason,
just slap up a million lights....

Yes there are alot, and it must have required alot of man hours....but it is not attractive at all...

This Historic Old City deserves better......

Interesting history of that business...Lowits was another store like that if i'm not mistaken, i remember getting my cub scout uniforms there as a kid.

Lowits, David Burr,TFank, Prozys.... fine stores.........main street was great at one time...old Woolworths, The Olive Tree, Riviera pizza, cowans ,the Fox, the Oratani...many more greats...

Anyone remember the name of the store on banta that sold pots ,pans, silver servers, kitchen appliances...seems to have slipped my mind....???
