Demolition of the Main St/Ward St Traffic Island, 11-5-20
« on: November 09, 2020, 11:27:31 AM »
I could see this from my living room (first pic) when it began, so I headed right over and took the first half of this video (and the below stills). Later that afternoon, I was on top of 389 Main - which is still not finished yet - on that same corner and shot the second half of the video while laying flat on my stomach on the corner of the roof (the pix from the rooftop shoot will be posted soon). Fun stuff!

The last two shots were taken 3 days later.

No more island - back to 2-way on Main between Ward and Passaic

1. By November 22,  the island was gone but southbound traffic on Main St was still being diverted to Ward St............

2,3............but not any longer. By December 1, we're back to two-way between Ward and Passaic. It was unusual to see a northbound car on Main making a left onto Ward (not shown).
