Title: Prince
Post by: BLeafe on April 24, 2016, 01:50:01 PM
I'm fortunate that I got to shoot Prince early on (1981 The Ritz (NYC), 1982 Capitol Theatre (Passaic), 1985 Nassau Coliseum, 1986 and 1988 Madison Square Garden). There are 5 shots on my site that represent each venue, but I forgot about all the other ones I took, so I've been digging into that and scanning up a storm for the last few days.

One new-found image (below) is different from all the others. You can't even see his face, but you kinda know who it is. It was taken at that 1982 Capitol show. There's a video of that full concert on YouTube and it indicates that this shot was taken during his opening when he was on a riser above and behind the drums and the light behind him came on for very short periodic bursts. I was lucky to capture one of those bursts.

A local tribute to Prince?
