RIP, Whitey.
I can't be the only one here who used to love watching this guy pitch (or can I?).
I took this shot of Whitey, heavyweight boxer Gerry Cooney and Cooney's manager Victor Valle in the locker room of Yankees Spring Training camp (where he did NOT pitch this day) in Fort Lauderdale, FL, in 1982.
Whitey looks absolutely thrilled to be there, doesn't he?
