Title: Here's something you've never seen before
Post by: BLeafe on December 02, 2020, 06:45:01 PM
I sure haven't.

I just found this and I don't recall EVER seeing it before. This is a scan of a 3" x 3" print.

This is the Holy Trinity School Bus on September 17, 1953: I just turned 6, so this must have been at the beginning of first grade for me in the old HTS building where the parking lot is now.........and Mom - of course - got a shot of me exiting the bus after school.

To me, this is like finding the old Aerosmith van on American Pickers.

That's not a silly question - I was a big fan of Hopalong Cassidy - but I wish I had an answer for you. I have no idea what's on that lunch box..........I don't remember and it's too out of focus to read.

Keep asking questions (and that goes for everybody..........that's the lifeblood of this site.)

That school bus is awesome too! Where did you guys have to buy your school uniforms?  Ours were from somewhere on Main St but I don't remember the name. They came to Immaculate Conception and measured us a few weeks before they'd be ready

I emailed the pastor of Holy Trinity Church to ask if there were any images of this bus in their archive. There weren't.

Holy Trinity uniforms? Go to Lowits at 160 Main St (where the 14-story 150-170 Main project is at Main and Mercer). Lowits closed in 2001.

Since it's Christmas week, this is appropriate: http://www.hackensacknow.org/index.php?topic=1310.0

Note that the store was at 154 Main whenever this item was made.
