Does anyone know when they made this little street off of Jackson Ave? It's a small cul-de-sac not too far from the start of Jackson from Hudson (close to Frederick St i think) . I belive it was sometime in the 80's. And what was there before the street?

Hackensack History / Another street question (Marginal Road)
« on: April 26, 2010, 02:58:56 PM »
Another one that always puzzled me was that little semi-circle "street" off of Hudson by the rt 80 overpass called "Marginal Road". It runs from Hudson around to E Wesley St but has no houses on it, just off street parts of Jackson and Washington Aves.
anyone know anything about this?

Hackensack History / Another interesting street question

Another street that always seemed odd to me was that corner of Essex and South State Sts. where there is a street sign in that parking lot that says Huyler St (which begins when the town changes to So. Hack) Last i can remember the two signs were there together almost parallel.

There was a "sidestreet" off of Hudson called Maiden Lane, but it really wasn't a street at all...just kind of a shallow lot that looked like it was part of Hudson...anyone know any history on this?
thanks!

Hello again, does anyone remember the little market on Jackson Ave. right off of Hudson Street by Costa Bros? Or the candy store on Hudson by the corner of Kennedy, at one time it was called "Tessie's"

Does anyone remember Gino's? It was right by the railroad tracks across from Eastern Electronics. It became Roy Rogers and then later Mc Donalds.

Does anyone remember the used car lot next to the bar on the corner of Hudson and Wesley streets...and if I'm not mistaken, the next side street (now called Wysocki place I think) was also named something else...can anyone help?
