This auction is for a Pin or badge delagate 10th Annual State Convention Exempt Firemens Association Hackensack New Jersey May 20th 1868 with a celluloid center madallion with fireman holding child decending ladder during house fire. Whats nice about this badge it was found in the original envelope from the manufacturer marked The Whitehead & Hoag Company Badges Banners Flags Buttons Newark New Jersey with the original cardboard insert. They recomended you keep your badge in the envelope for safety when not in use. Has extra bar pin inside. Badge measures 7" long red silk with brass bar pin at top, This was a nice one of the lot .
