Public Comment Portion:
Mr. Eric Martindale alerted the council to an article that appeared in "Parade" concerning the "homeless". Click
here to read the quote. (scoll to last message)
Mr. Philip Roberts again questioned the council on the
S. Goldberg Property (proposed County DPW/Police HQ site) and asked who would pay for enhancements to the surrounding sewer system if changes were necessary on River Street as a result of the proposed new construction. Generally, the council thought the question was premature but one councilman opined that the burden would most likely rest with the County.
Another resident questioned what the city was currently doing with respect to installing wheelchair accessible curb-ramps throughout the city. The city manager advised that no ramps were currently being installed. Click
here for more information. The same resident also requested that the city do more to force homeowners to repair uneven and cracked sidewalks throughout the city.
I addressed the council seeking clarification of certain resolutions, above.
