Geez - even the obituaries aren't safe!

Who doesn't know the difference between "formally" and "formerly"? Hasn't anyone at this paper mastered the language yet?

I respectfully request that they show some respect for the deceased and their families and PROOFREAD these things. This isn't the only embarrassing thing they've done in this section.

And no - I don't know the deceased person.

Is "touchdown celebration" the first thing that comes to mind when you look at this picture?

It looks more like he's saying, "Get that camera outta my face!" or "Get me a better caption writer".

"Merry Christmas........We're not publishing on 12/24 or 12/25!"

See for yourself - it's right in the top of the front page of today's paper (below - click to enlarge). Look at the date...............have you ever seen a 3-day publication date before? It's as if all the news that occurs today, tomorrow and Saturday is included in today's paper. How prescient of them!

Merry Christmas from The Record - Friend of the people it serves...............unless it's a holiday.

"Happy New Year......Today's paper is your last of 2021 AND your first of 2022"

So this is a thing now, huh? Should we expect the same on Presidents' Day, Valentines Day and National Pie Day (January 23)?

Kind of a large boo-boo on the front page of today's sport's section:

Last April, the Jets traded quarterback Sam Darnold. A few weeks later, they selected quarterback Zach Wilson with the #2 overall draft pick.

This article was about Wilson's best plays so far this season, which ends for the Jets today.

The first sentence tells you what the play was about. The last sentence tells you that the QB who is no longer with the team made the play.

Oops!

they just had an editorial today that they are not printing on Saturday anymore.   just another reason to cancel...  that and the 5 dollar "special" editions that you dont want but cannot opt out of...
