Essentially, the company that now owns Sears' assets wants to do as it pleases with this property and Hackensack wants to preserve the iconic building.
I can't imagine Hackensack without this 90-year-old landmark.

A few years ago, YMCA officials said they had their eyes on the Sears building and would like to move there and expand.

I hope as well that they preserve it...i was driving past it with my wife and we both had the same thought, that it would eventually become a condo or apartment building
